This series of drawings is based on a strategy of postmodernistic collage-citation process, which is a function of intertextual relations between the different systems of visual representation. The starting point is the existence of numerous conventions, iconographic scheme, symbolic models and narrative forms, which were then taken and reinterpreted with the aim of producing new meanings. In my work reproductions of masterpieces from the history of painting were combined with the various visual elements of modern civilization. This symbiosis ironically treats history, noting that the art system is unstable category, subject of cultural changes. The irony is even more underlined in relation to the present and its questionable achievements.
